YOUR CREW IS BUILT AROUND YOUR CAPTAIN, AN EMBODIMENT OF THE COURAGE, SKILL AND kind of stupidity required to sign up for missions that take place near dying stars. they’re usually very charming.

YOUR CAPTAIN HAS SO much on their plate. luckily, delegation is a skill they learned in captain college. they got a passing grade!

Unluckily, some members of the crew are floating brains in jars.

  • The deadeye excels at fighting. i mean, he has a sword AND a pistol. thats two weapons! imagine if he wasn’t good at fighting.

    unfortunately this fella doesn’t help much when it comes to other tasks you might come up against, like science problems or tech quandries.

  • the asteroid miners of the asteroid miners union are a hardy people, making the best of their semi-nomadic lifestyle.

    they’ve got this one weird quirk! small thing. don’t judge them.

    they find and preserve intelligent brains and embed them into machines that help them with day-to-day tasks.

    the AMU and their brain friends excel at surviving in any environment.

  • the solinari fleet practices a brand of science unrecognizable to other sentient species. they seem to pray their way to conclusions, worshiping the laws that create, in their words, the “brilliant design” of their creator.

    you can’t go wrong bringing along a solinari crew if you have scientific problems to solve.

WHAT YOU’re UP AGAINST

  • when a star reaches a certain point in its death cycle, Red matter begins shooting out into its system.

    this red matter is powerful. like maybe-can-end-the-universe powerful. its presence creates a certain hostility on any planet it rains down on.

  • Each planet you visit in cosmonak has an interesting set of flora, fauna and other science words. the tl:dr; is that evertything is trying to kill you.

    Planets in cosmonak are modular, meaning that any scenario can be played on any planet, creating a exponentially expanding experience (aka the e3 system™™™™).

  • Red Matter acts a beacon for bloodthirsty universe-conquering friends. Friends like the Tenebron Initiative, pictured here.

    They firmly believe it is their job to usher in the end of all existence. Who knows, maybe they’re right!
